Normally you can, however, a licence from the local council needs to be applied for. The charge levied varies depending on the council and so does the notice they require. If you need a skip on council property (Inc the Highway) then contact us and we can advise on the cost and procedure for your council.
Low cost skips are more than happy to arrange a “wait and load” service where the driver will wait, whilst the skip is loaded. 20 minutes waiting time is included free of charge!
As the vehicles delivering to your house are LGV’s and normally very large, please make sure that there is sufficient access to allow it in/out safely. If you are unsure, please contact us at Low cost skips and we can provide you with the approximate dimensions required.
Low cost skips can take a card payment at the point of ordering and therefore delivery can be made without you being on site (no more waiting in to give the driver the cash!).
The price from Low cost skips includes delivery, collection, disposal and hire for up to 10 days (prices are normally quoted excluding VAT).
At Low cost skips we endeavour to make sure that at least 90% of our skips are sent to our MRF (Material’s Recycling Facility) and anything that can be recovered will be recycled.
Low cost skips Management Team has over 25 years experience in the waste industry, we are fully licenced by the Environment Agency as waste Brokers and Carriers. We also have all the appropriate documentation. Copies of these documents are available on request.
